D’Guar (they/them) is a tea educator, community organizer, and lifelong student of tea based in Portland, Oregon. Their practice is rooted in mindful tea preparation, sensory exploration, and making tea knowledge accessible to people from all backgrounds. They have extensive experience sharing tea through workshops, public tastings, and education, with a focus on gongfu tea and the relationship between tea, ritual, and personal connection.
In November 2024, they founded Waterfairy Tea, a community outreach project dedicated to tea education, accessibility, and connection. Through partnerships with local organizations and community gatherings, D’Guar works to create welcoming spaces where tea serves as a bridge for learning, reflection, and meaningful human connection.
