Volunteers

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION FOR THE 2025 FESTIVAL IS ONLINE NOW.

The NW Tea Festival needs your help!

The 2025 Northwest Tea Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 27th and 28th, in the Exhibition Hall at Seattle Center. This will be our 15th Festival! Please join us and help with the actual running of the Tea Festival by becoming a Festival volunteer.

We need volunteers on Saturday and Sunday, Sept 27-28, with a few volunteers needed for Festival setup Friday the 26th. Each day is typically divided into 2 shifts of approximately 4-5 hours and shift times can range from 8:30am daily for our startup crews to 7pm Sunday evening for our closeout crew.  In general we have a morning shift and an afternoon shift and we have a wide variety of roles and responsibilities, so browse the job selections on our volunteer planning site after the portal opens (see below).

As a volunteer you will have a great experience - plan on drinking and learning about some excellent teas as well as meeting and working with some terrific people.

As a thank you for giving your time and working at least one full shift at the Festival, you will receive free admission for yourself to the Festival for both days, a tasting cup, a Festival volunteer t-shirt and a bag for all of your goodies. Before or after your shift is a perfect time to check out the Festival and enjoy the tea tasting that abounds! Need a break from Volunteer duties for a few minutes to grab that extra special tea item? There are numerous points in the day to take a quick break, just check with your area lead or your Volunteer Coordinator staff first. And of course, water/restroom/snack breaks are always welcome, please check with your area lead when the need arises.

Like last year, we are using the online platform Volunteer Local to help coordinate shifts. Each position is described along with the shift times. You can pick the job(s) and the shift(s) you would like to work. You can work as many shifts as you like. Please look over the job descriptions to find the perfect one for you. If you have a job and shift you would like, please sign up as soon as possible!
We hope to see our old friends and make a lot of new friends this year!
